"Yes, they can"

Obama has won, yes, everyone knows that, but I'm not going to talk about politics in here... I just want to mention what has really shocked me about this campaign, and this has been the success of Obama's slogan, the "yes, we can" and the "change".

A slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used in a political, commercial, religious and other context as a repetitive expression of an idea or purpose.
Everyone remembers Nike's old slogan "Just do it", or the "I'm loving it" by McDonald's. But who remembers Bush's last slogan, or Clinton's, or I will even say more, does anyone remembers by today which phrase has used McCain to compete against his oppositor?
I don't.

Why? because a good slogan is more than a simple phrase, a good slogan remains in your mind and easily relates the words you are using with the brand, or in this case, with the Politician. Change is Obama. You can, we can, you and me, Obama and me.

A friend of mine told me that yesterday was going to be one of those days that you will always ask yourself, where was I when Obama was elected?
It's true, but, will we remember the "yes we can" in 2012? well, only Obama can do that, and that is bringing the change he has claimed.

McCain's slogan was "Country First" oriented to talk about the iraq war. When the big economic crisis entered the campaing he realized the slogan was useless

La veritat és que no m'havia parat a pensar-ho fins que vaig llegir el teu post, i tens raó. L'slogan ha estat molt ben trobat i segur que desiciu alhora de decantar la balança...
Per cert, molt bé el Blog.
Oriol, you can!!
